Stefan Brun

Stefan Brun is co-founder and co-artistic director of Prop Thtr., the oldest surviving off-loop, non-equity theater in Chicago. The Prop Thtr concentrates on stories that expand our perceptions of who we are as human beings, placing a priority on works about Chicago and Chicago stories as well as those that increase the educational outreach and widen the array of interdisciplinary arts activities. The Prop Thtr attempts to inform the present and the future by examining and learning from the past, and it endeavors to expose their audience to new ideas through new works. Most recently, Brun was director for hits like HIZZONER, WAITING FOR GODOT, and FEMALE SEEKING A MALE. He also is resident director of Scrap METTLE Soul. From the mid 80s through the 90s, Stefan worked as director in Germany for both stage and television.
